FREE EVENT: Managing Anger 18.10.09 @ 430pm London…..

Managing Anger Anger varies in intensity, ranging from mild irritation to violent rage. Whether expressed or suppressed. it makes you sick! The problem with getting angry is that there is only a slim chance that it might solve the problem, but a much greater chance that it’ll create new ones. Understanding anger is realising that anger can be a by-product of our own unfulfilled expectations, our way of thinking, rather than the other person or event. Managing Anger is about understanding and recognising anger. It’s about controlling your internal responses, calming yourself down and letting the feelings of anger subside. Remember, anger is only 1 letter away from danger!

FREE TALK – Inner Power & Protection Conversation: 24.09.09 @ 730pm, Oxfordshire

I would highly recommend this talk to anyone. I’ll be there.

Experiencing Inner Power & Protection Series

Build Resilience, Focus Your Mind, Relax Your Heart

A conversation and experiential evening with Manda Patel and Mike George

Every day, people rely on their inner strength and courage to make difficult choices in life, perhaps finding an experience of strength and protection that is beyond their perceived capacity.

How do we harness this inner strength?  What effect do these experiences have on our own lives and the lives of those around us?  Can some of these experiences be attributed to Divine protection?  If so, how do we access it?

Mike George is an author, motivational speaker and teacher of meditation and spiritual development for over 20 years.  His publications include Learn to Relax, The 7 AHA’s of Highly Enlightened Souls, In the Light of Meditation and Don’t Get Mad Get Wise.

Manda Patel Director of the Global Retreat Centre in Oxford, began her spiritual studies in London 27 years ago and has since become a well known figure on the world speaker’s circuit where she lectures on values and spiritual development in everyday life.

FREE TALK – Intuition in Action – The Secret To Understanding 29.09.09 @ 430pm London

www.bkwsu.org

Intuition In Action

 www.bkwsu.orgThe Secret To Understanding

Have you ever had a hunch that something was about to  happen and to your surprise, it did?

Have you ever had ‘gut feelings’, a strong sense of ‘knowing’ that something was true without a specific reason but you ended up
being right?  That’s your intuition.

No matter what it’s called, intuition plays a part in our lives everyday.  Your intuition ‘knows’ what you need and what to do.

Every single one of us has this inner resource, but most of us are cut off from listening to this inner guide.

Discover how to:
access your intuition, feel, hear and see intuitively
Follow your gut feeling with more confidence:
‘understand’ yourself and other people more accurately
develop it further for practical use in your everyday life and have fun  with it!

FREE TALK – Honouring The Self 10.9.09 in Oxford……….

I’ll probably be at this one. It’s funny because I was thinking about honour today and what it really means. I’ll write a summary of the talk soon after. If you do go, please make a donation of whatever amount you can so that this great organisation can continue their work and help more people in need. Thanks.

Honouring The Self

Honouring the self is about awareness and understanding of your path through life. I maintain inner peace, dignity and honour when I find the balance between responsibility to my roles and the responsibility I have to myself; between the powers to accommodate and to face.

Arti, a meditation teacher for over 22 years, is the co-ordinator of the Brahma Kumaris Inner Space Information Centre in Covent Garden. She lectures and runs seminars on personal growth around the UK.

SELF Awareness & Personal Enlightenment Retreat Weekend in Bath (UK), August 2009

The Wonderful Mike George

I am seriously considering going to this one. The agenda looks really good and the cost is very reasonable for a 3 day retreat. Plus it is hosted by the wonderful Mike George whom I have a lot of respect for. Take a look:

http://www.relax7.com/AwarenessRetreat/

Invitation to a Weekend Retreat

A Work in Progress!

Life is a process not a result, a journey not a destination, a work in continuous progress. It’s easy to spend too much time focussing on outcomes and striving for achievement, and thereby miss the beauty and the magic of the journey, not to mention the lessons along the way.

We each create our own journey much as a painter paints her painting and a composer refines his symphony. Everyone has a song in their heart and everyone has a canvas called the ‘mind’ on which they will create the panorama of their life. Have you found your song and if so how does it sound? Have you started on your canvas and if so how does it look?

You are warmly invited to join one of the weekend Self Awareness Retreats which offers the gifts of insight and understanding, meditation and silence, the company of fellow creators and a chance to relax and look at yourself and life very differently.

To help you sustain your ‘creative process’, and whatever inner work you initiate during the weekend retreat, you will receive a weekly refresher by email for 18 weeks.

There is much more information on the website– ie full costs and itinerary. Cost-wise, I think £175 for 3 days and accommodation is very reasonable.

If you cannot make this one, you can join the mailing list and get information on future events. Send your mailing address to info@awarenessretreats.com

FREE TALK AT: IET, 2 SAVOY PLACE, LONDON. WC2R 0BL

CALL +44 207 836 6688 FOR MORE INFORMATION

BEYONE FEAR:

Fear takes many forms – panic, anxiety, self consciousness… And manifests itself in many ways, avoidance, procastination, control and agitation to name just a few.

Why are you allowing fear to stop you from doing? How would life be different if you lived to : “Face, Explore, Accept, Respond” to fear?

“Why walk when you can fly! Why not soar beyond your fears and live with audacity.”

Living with audacity requires moving beyond inertia, digging deep and discovering who you truly are and what you are meant to contribute. Then taking bold and daring action to make it happen.

Break the habit of setting limits and reach beyond what is comfortable and safe. Set audacious goals that stretch you outside of what is expected. Create a life that’s filled with everything you want. Be completely uniquely you, without compromise or excuses.

Are you ready to stop living by default and start living AUDACIOUSLY!
