These are really simple methods that have worked for me. There is always an alternative.
DANDRUFF OR DRY SKIN
For a flaky scalp or flaky or dry skin, use oils to replenish and nourish yourself. I have found Almond Oil and Coconut Oils to be the best for both hair and skin. Although you can use any kind of oil that states that it is suitable for the skin.
Hair – pour Almond oil onto your head and rub it in – give yourself a head massage at the same time – its lovely. Add it to the ends. Make sure you have a good layer all over. If you can, leave it in all night – this gives it more time to work its magic. You will probably need to add a towel onto your pillow or use an old pillow as it will soil your bedsheets.
With Coconut Oil, its solidifies so you can warm it up in a pan or in the microwave and apply it in the same way.
After a few hours or in the morning, simply wash it out with your regular shampoo. You may need to apply shampoo a few times to get it all out – that’s fine, do what you need to but make sure it is all out. And then just feel the difference. Your hair will feel lustful, soft, shiny and naturally beautiful.
Dry Skin – no one should have to tolerate dry skin. No one should have to spend loads of money on lotions and potions that have ingredients that are a mystery to you. So after your shower, with it still running and after you have cleaned your skin, apply the oil. Rub it all over your skin. Get out of the shower and towel dry your skin. There should be a residue on your skin. This is normal. (If you wear silks or fabrics that will absorb oils, then you can get dry oil that won’t soil your clothes.) Your skin will immediately feel and look fabulous. This feeling is addictive so once you start doing it, you will continue doing it.
Oils don’t come in practical containers for this so buy a dispenser (not the coconut oil because it solidifies remember)and put the oil into that. Keep it in your bathroom to remind you to put it on regularly. You can also pour a few capfuls into a hot/warm bath – it will give you your supple skin back.
Oils cost a few pounds at the most and the effects are massive. You can buy them in most Convenience Stores/Indian Shops/Supermarkets in your local area. Try it. You will never go back.
On a final note, I would like to promote soap. Natural soap is the best way to clean your skin. Shower gels are the biggest con around. Just because they lather, that doesn’t mean they clean your skin. You will feel the difference in your own skin, you don’t need me to tell you. Your skin will be squeeky clean after a wash with pretty much any kind of soap.
I go to TK Maxx and buy beautiful soaps with beautiful fragrances that are a great start to my day, everyday.
Thanks for the pic.
