It is a wonderfully relaxing therapy. The massage is safe, simple to learn and very effective to give, without the need to undress or use oils. It can provide relief from aches and pains, stress symptoms, insomnia, promote hair growth, soothe, comfort and rebalance your energy flow which gives you a deep sense of peace, calm and tranquillity.

You can find Indian Head Massage Practitioners anywhere now. Make sure you pay close attention to Jenny’s explanation of what the massage should entail. Feel free to ask your Practitioner where they trained and allow them to tell you about it before you decide to have one. They should ask you about your medical history. You can have one with or without oil. It’s better with!
You can give yourself one too – it is a bit tricky and not as good as someone else doing it but still worth it.

It is a wonderful treatment. My Mum gives a really good one. It’s something we have done since we were kids.

Healing by listening to your body

One thing I have learned to do is to scan my body for any pain, anxiety and loosen it and let it go.

So to start,  you need to sit or lie in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take a few deep but full breaths – so from the pit of your stomach to the top of your neck each time. You should be realxed by now.

Start at your head and start to scan downwards, to the shoulders, to the torso, to the legs and finally to the feet. With each bit that you scan down on, look out for any pain, tention, stress points etc. If you get to one, just say to yourself, I am letting this pain/tention/stress point go. And breathe it out of your feet. Let it go.  

I have personally found this to work for me.
